Merry Christmas. :)

Since I really have nothing to do right now, I decided to post a blogpost. Merry Christmas eve! or Happy Holidays! Whatever one you would prefer.

I'm currently waiting for something to happen, just sitting typing this blogpost listening to "Last Christmas" by the Glee Cast. Did I mention that was my favorite Christmas song? Well, now you know. I just don't really feel that much Christmas spirit this year. It's an off and on feeling. I don't really know why. A couple other people I know feel the same too. Was it because I was doing regular things today? The usual "what I do on break" things: Piano lessons, Facebook, Twitter, video games. The list goes on and on. Maybe after opening presents it'll get better? We'll see.

Break is okay so far. I get incredibly bored, which is normal for me. I still have to do this art thing, which I probably might start working on in... I don't know, but soon. ;) I've already finished two video games so far, since break started. The first one is Rayman Raving Rabbids 2. It was a really short game and I still haven't unlocked everything, so I guess it somewhat counts? The second is Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It was really, really good. The ending was shocking for me. A lot of things make sense now. It took me like a couple hours to piece up the puzzle though. :] Now, I'm just working on the extra stuff like the challenges and Holo-Missions. I'm listening to "Love Drunk" by Boys Like Girls right now. They sound a lot like All Time Low, which is one of the reasons why I like that song. Another song I like is "Two is Better Than One," their duet with Taylor Swift. I get addicted to a lot of songs easily, if you haven't noticed. :)

Hmm.. what else to talk about? I really don't know. So, I guess this is goodbye for now.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. :)

Winter Break begins...

Now. Oh, yay. :) My long awaited break has now come. I needed it though, since so much was going on in school. Lots of homework, and projects due. Finals week is over. Thank goodness. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be: an essay, Socratic seminar, and two tests on math and chemistry. I studied so much for those tests. It was one of the only reasons why I didn't get much sleep this week. The next two weeks will be laid back for me, though. I finally get to sleep in. :)

Today was fun. We were only in school for 4-ish hours though, since it was a half day. We really didn't do anything (other than art). We had a holiday party. All it was pretty much just people talking to each other, while watching Up and eating snacks. I still haven't finished watching Up yet. Maybe I should do that over break.

After school, my friends and I spent some time with one of our Freshman teachers, just catching up. We headed to the mall afterwards to go hang out and catch a movie. We were able to see a lot of people from our high school there. I guess that's where the main hang out spot is for everyone we know. We watched The Princess and the Frog. :) I loved it. The movie was so adorable! I really miss those kind-of movies, since all they play now is 3-D movies and real action. I finally got to know why there's two stars now. :) The rest of the day included an epic sword fight, some awkward moments on camera, and a lot of talking.

Christmas is in a week. New Year's is in two. I really don't know what I'm going to do. See some friends and relatives, I guess. The usual holiday plans. I'm just gonna have to see if something special some up.

Remember that 365 Days project I mentioned in my last post? Well, I finally was able to start it the first day of this month. It's actually pretty easy, until you have no idea what to take a picture of. It's been 18 days so far and I'm enjoying it. I already got used to the take a picture, upload, write a description, and post. I usually post mine on my Flickr. I haven't been following the rules though. I just take a picture of what-ever that's significant or relates to what happened that day. It's actually pretty fun, maybe you should try it. :)

Well, until next time. Happy Holidays! :D

Happy Thanksgiving. :)

It's Thanksgiving week. Yayy. :) Unlike most people, I don't have school this week. x] I really needed a vacation, especially from everything going on in school. I'm just hoping those 'problems' won't follow me while I'm on vacay... I usually post on the actual holiday, but I'll be out of town for a couple days. I'm heading up to San Francisco on Thanksgiving and going back down on Saturday. That means I probably have no internetz. *sadface* That's why I'm posting now. I will be constantly be posting on my twitter though, since I can update through my phone. x]

My friend and I finally finished our music room. Although, there was one mistake... ;) All 11 pages are finally on the white boards. Which reminds me, I really need to practice that piece. I'm listening to the Glee station on Pandora right now. x] The show is getting really good and the covers they do are really good also. It's funny 'cause every once in a while, a Disney song would come up like "I Just Can't Wait to be King" from the Lion King. Maybe it was from the Broadway performances? It sounded a lot like the Broadway version. Lion King on Broadway was amazing, by the way. I watched it a couple weeks ago with my family when they were here in Broadway and I loved it. A lot. <3

Earlier today, I listened to the New Moon soundtrack. :) The music isn't that great as the soundtrack from the first movie, but it's still pretty good. My favorite song would be "I Belong to You (New Moon Remix)" by Muse. I saw the movie on Friday night with my mom, since I really couldn't go with any one else. It was really good, in my opinion. :) The first movie was better though, as it's always like. :)

I'm thinking of doing one of those 365 days photography project. It's where you take a picture every single day for one whole year. It needs to be include a part of you though, sort-of like a self portrait. It sounds interesting to do. I'll probably start it on December 1st, if I do choose to do it. Oh, well. We'll see. x]

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! :)

Killing time..

In school. Just waiting for class to end and lunch to start. I'm already finished with my all my work. So, to everyone who's reading this, I'm not procrastinating. :p It's the last day of school! We have a one week break for Thanksgiving. So, HA! to all those who have to go to school for those first three days. :) It's also my first time being on vacation for more than three days and I really need it. As in, REALLY. There's too much going on, that I can't really relax anymore. There's school and everything there usually follows me home. It's like that annoying thing that you don't like, but can't get rid of it. Then, there's things going on between friends. When you have a bigger group, you have more drama. Well, not drama, but more things going on. School is still the same. I'm in humanities right now and just finished all my steps for my globalization site. It's not done yet, but I have enough done for the week. Math is okay. We're not really working on our project that much, just taking alot of chemistry and math notes. It's funny. All of last year, we had note flippers (notecards). This year we have a whole notebook of it. Well, I guess that's what they mean when it gets tougher by the years. Art is the same. As of now, that's my favorite class. Maybe it's because it's always laid back in the classroom and I'm working on something I'm actually really interested in. My SIGs (electives) for this quarter is Table Tennis and Music. Table Tennis is meh. I don't really play, but it's really enjoyable watching competitive people play. I'm enjoying music the most. My best friend and I have been spending time in one of the empty rooms, writing all the sheet music on the white boards. The only challenge is the length of the piece. It's 11 pages long and crazy. I really have a good idea on how to play in on violin though. All it takes is practice. We're on the 7th page in writing the notes down. Hopefully, we get to finish before the end of the day. If not, boohoo. :[

Thanksgiving is next week! woohoo! :) What are you planning to do? I'm doing the usual: visiting relatives, big dinner, all that thanksgiving fun stuff. Well, my week hasn't been that great, but I'm excited for New Moon. I did want to watch it on the midnight premiere, but I couldn't. :( I'm probably watching tonight with my mom. Well, I gotta go. Time for lunch!

I really have nothing to do right now.

The title of this post is a lie. I really do have something to do..... I just don't want to do it right now. This will be quick though, so I can get back on task. I'm actually sitting in my Humanities class right now. It's exhibition time again... Oh, joy. Our team isn't doing anything for exhibition, which is kind-of sad because this would be the first time I'm missing out on the exhibition.. :( But at least I get the chance to see what everyone else is working on. I'm actually looking forward to seeing what the Freshies are planning for the haunted house. Hmm.... I don't really know what else to write.. It's been like how long since I've posted my last blogpost? I don't know. I'm too lazy to check right now. Everything in class is just so laid back today.... And we have an exhibition tomorrow. That's just kind-of weird. Well, I guess that's it..... :) Need to get back to work. Xp

PS. BOO! BOO! Says the ghost! Today is Halloween! ;D
Happy Halloween everyone!
Not really... but, ok. :]

So... It's been a while..

Since I posted a new blogpost. I've been really busy ever since school started.. Sophomore Year's been treating me well. It's harder, of course and there's A LOT more homework.... It's been tiring me out, but I'm used to it. My new teachers are cool. The projects are not as great as the ones from Freshman year, but they're okay. We got to blow stuff up in math/ chem class. I don't mean as in huge explosions with debris everywhere, I'm talking about bringing a small object bigger in scale. Haha, but it would be cool if we could blow stuff up, huh? A new year means new subjects, new teachers, and brand new friends. I've met so many people since the new school year started, some of which became really good friends. I'm getting used to meeting new people a lot more now. I kinda miss Freshman year though.. Those were good times.

So, what's been going on lately? Well, I just took my PSATs.... meh. >.> They were exactly that. Meh. It was part easy, part hard, part *wth?* It took forever... That's one of the things I really don't like about standardized tests. College Visit day is tomorrow.. I'm looking forward to it a bit, not really though. Other than school, I really haven't been doing much. School stuff eats up my a lot of my outside-of-school time. I've been doing my usual everyday... Wake up, School, Home, Homework, Dinner, Facebook/ Twitter, Sleep. There's alot more in between that, but that's what I usually go through..

Do you watch Glee? 'Cause I do. :] It's a really good show. haha, I'm actually waiting for it to start right now as I'm typing this post. So, I've just realized how much I talk about new songs in every single one of my blog posts.... So are you ready? ;) I've been listening to some new music lately(No Duh). Four songs really stand out to me though. They're:

  1. "Playing God" by Paramore. This song is like perfect for me, no matter what mood I'm in.
  2. "Brick by Boring Brick" also by Paramore. It has awesome lyrics. :D
  3. "Ignorance" by Paramore. My 1st favorite from their new record.
  4. "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap. It's been on repeat on my iPod for a couple weeks now. It's a really really good song. :)

So, the only reason why like there's three Paramore songs is because of their new album. It came out and you know me and my craziness over new albums coming out. There are a lot more songs, but I guess that's enough for now. ;]

Halloween's coming!!! What are you gonna be? I already know what I'm gonna dress up as. I'll be Macy Misa. x] If you don't know her, there's only one thing I can say.... JONAS. haha. :D Well, that's all for now. :) Until next time.

PS. Happy Hug-An-Asian Day!!!!! :D

Good-bye Summer :(

Why does summer always have to go by so quick? :/ School starts in two days. I'm excited for it to start, but at the same time, I kinda don't want to go because that means we start doing work again. :p

So, what have I been up to for the past couple months? Just enjoying my vacation before school starts. The week I put up my last blog post, My family and I took a road trip to Las Vegas. We stayed there for a couple days, going sight-seeing and taking a lot of pictures. It was nice to go out of town for a while, but the drive getting there and back took FOREVER. What didn't help was the heat. It was windy there, but it was hot wind. xp I had tons of fun though. :D

A couple days after we came back, my dad drove my older cousin and I to the Staples Center in LA. (UGHH... more driving) We attended one of the Jonas Brothers' concerts there that weekend. :D It was absolutely crazy. There was so many people there... It kind-of had that wow-factor, especially if you didn't know what's going on. :) There were a lot of acts at the concert. Honor Society performed first. They're kind-of a new band with a unique sound. If you haven't heard their new single 'Over You,' go check it out. :) After Honor Society, the Wonder Girls performed one of their songs. They're this famous group from Asia, and the song they performed ('Nobody') was extremely catchy. :D Jordin Sparks came on after them. She was good also. I love most of the songs she played. When the Jonas Brothers came on, it was so loud. It got kind-of worse though because the girls sitting on the row above us were so loud. It practically hurt my ears the whole entire time we were there. But the Jonas Brothers were amazing. :) I had a great time at that concert. :D (Don't I always??)

For the rest of summer, I pretty much stayed at home. Did my usual: use the computer, watch tv, listen to music, sleep in. I met up with some of my friends a couple times. Other than that, that's pretty much it. So, are you ready for school? Cause I am... Well, just a little. It's something I'm looking forward to though. I pretty positive this year will be a good one.

Bring it on, Sophomore Year. :)

Busy, Busy, Busy.

That's pretty much how it's been like for the past 2 weeks and this week also. So, here's the run down on how summer's been since my last blog post.

July 4 wasn't really anything that special. Just got together with my family and some relatives. We weren't able to watch any fireworks though, which was kind-of sad. At the end of the day, I felt like it wasn't really a holiday because there was something missing. With that same set of family and friends, we went to SeaWorld the next week. I was able to see Shamu again :) which I pretty much do every time I go there. The only difference was getting completely soaked and walking around the park like that until you're completely dry, which (I have to admit) took almost forever. That day was pretty fun, but tiring. At the end of the day, I pretty much looked like a vampire. My eyes were red, I was SOO pale, and my hair and clothes were a mess. I got home a little late, so I wasn't able to get enough sleep because I had church the next day. Then, the week after that, I pretty much just stayed at home, doing the usual: on the computer, listening to music, play video games, and a couple more other stuff.

Two weeks ago was the beginning of my summer bridge training. It was fun. We were able to play a lot of fun activities, but there was the work also. I was partnered up with my best friend though, so it was cool. :) During that we week, we pretty much just prepared ourselves for the actual bridge program, which was the week after that. In case some of you didn't know, the summer bridge program is when the incoming freshies (my nickname for the freshman xD) come to our school and gets to see how it's like and how everything works. Almost like a sneak peek of the new year. :) I was able to be a leader/ mentor this year, instead of a student. The week of the actual summer bridge was just crazy. There were a lot of new people everywhere and I can tell they were a little hesitant in trying to meet new people. My partner and I's group was just "dysfunctional," not really, but kind-of. We originally had 5 people, but only 3 showed up the first day. The next day, only 2 showed up, but we had one more person added on to our group. The day after that, we lost the person who was added on the day before, but we were able to get another new person added. And it stayed like that for the rest of the week (thank goodness). It may look kind-of confusing, but not entirely. That week, we played a lot of activities and we had our group work on their mini-project, which was creating a proposal to the ASB. There were times when they were hard at work, but I would be uber bored. :p Then, we ended the week with presentations and a day at the mall. Have you ever stayed at a mall 6 hours straight before? With no shopping money or a reason to be there? That's pretty much what we did. ;) This weekend was pretty busy also. I spent mine with my entire family. It was pretty fun and very happy.

I've been having a lot of weird dreams lately. My last one had robots and aliens in it, which was pretty weird because it also had a storyline. It kind-of made me wonder where this dream came from, and why I dreamt it. It was also really vivid too, which is a highlight because I love vivid dreams. :D Some of my other dreams would just be really awkward or me ending up liking it. Most of the time it would be both. :)

Music during the summer is the best. I love how most of the time, CDs (I'm looking forward to) would come out during the summer. Have you heard All Time Low's "Nothing Personal?" I absolutely love that cd. I've been obsessed with it for the past couple weeks. So, it's playing non-stop. I've also been listening to Demi Lovato's new CD nonstop. Haha, I remember when I posted a blog post about Demi's first CD. That was such a long time ago. :)

Well, that's it for now. I better get going, ttyl. :)

Late Night Blog Post.

Technically, it's not really late night, but really early morning. Happy Independence Day, by the way. :) So, why am I posting this late at night? Well, I don't really have anything to do and I'm tired, but I don't want to go to sleep.. yet. Summer's been okay so far, I guess. Days move on pretty quick, but I guess that's what usually happens when you wake up at 11 am and don't sleep until 1 to 2 am. I'm mostly a night person. I don't know why. It's just another part of me that's just there, like how I like to go out late at night. Summer days are boring... and hot. The temperature has been rising here every single day, but I learn to live with it. Nights are somewhat better, a little cooler. Most of the time, I spend my day on the computer or trying my best to keep me entertained. It doesn't work because I usually just end up bored again anyway. I've been reading a lot lately. It helps kill the time. I've finished two books so far. The first one is If I Stay by Gayle forman and the second is Just Like That by Marsha Qualey. Both books were good, but If I Stay was a great book. I loved it a lot and I recommend reading it, especially since it's a little new and a good story. Two weeks of summer have already past. Time goes by really quick, but isn't life like that? Time goes by without you even knowing it. Life also has a lot of change. It's just always there, but somehow, I learn to live with it. I remember when I was talking to one of my friends about change. He thought that by now, I should be used to change, but I'm just not. Well.. all in all, my summer's been okay. Let's just see how the rest of summer will turn out. That's all for now. Need to get to sleep for later today. Goodnight everyone... :]

Happy Summer :)

Yayy! Summer's here.. :) Which means the stress and pressure is all gone and all I have to do is relax. You know how 2 weeks ago, i said my life was crazy? Well, that's all gone now. I didn't really have to worry in the first place. Everything that happened in school went fine.

The science fair went pretty well. We turned out to be perfectly prepared and everything went smooth... Well, not exactly. There was this one point in time when a huge group of kids just came to our table and we had to balance them out with another group, but all in all, I can tell they liked making parachutes. :) They were SOO cute when they were playing with their parachutes and the fan. It made me smile. :D

The play was awesome! I had to act in the scene I wrote and it went pretty well. The day basically went like this. I ha to wake up REALLY early and be at the school by 7:30 am. Once there, we got ready and performed 2 shows. Turns out I didn't get stage fright. Once I was up there I felt somewhat comfortable and I loved the feeling of being onstage again. Both performances were good, but at the end of the second, I just felt everything came together perfectly. :] After that, we went to the park across from the school and had lunch there. When we were there, I realized that 9th graders can sometimes act like little kids since a lot of people were fighting over the swings, but it's cool. I can be like that sometimes. :] After returning to the school with Holly (our tutor) and Francis (Holly's car buddy), my friend and I went to our school's year book signing party, which was fun. :]

This week was TIoL (Transitional Interview of Learning) week. It took forever for me to prepare. I was basically going crazy on Monday, trying to finish up the packet of questions my teachers gave me a couple weeks ago. I went on Tuesday right before school ended, instead of Wednesday. I decided to do that because I really wanted to get it over with. Tuesday morning, I came to school all ready. Well, mostly. Later on, my mom had to drop off some evidence I needed. I did preparation for two hours. Then, went to support a friend that was also having their TIoLs. During his TIoL, I had a "whoa-I'm-in-high-school" moment. I guess it was because it made me realize that Freshman year is done and I'm moving on to Sophomore year. It actually surprised me a bit. Then for around 4-ish hours, I waited and waited and endlessly waited for my turn. My dad was able to come and watch me, even though he didn't ask any questions. I was nervous and almost freaking out. The morning didn't turn out so well for me that day, so I was hoping for the best. At 3, I went in and did my TIoL. I presented in front of my dad and math/physics teacher and then came the questions. It wasn't really all that bad, but whenever I would just mispronouce a word or say something wrong, my mind would go crazy. The questions were basically all about the projects I mentioned (except for graphic design) and how I've changed throughout the year. When it was finally done, I was like "Phew, glad that's over" But what was worse was standing outside waiting for my teacher to finish grading my performance. For me, it felt like forever because all I wanted to know was if I passed or not. Then, the time came and I finally figured out my results. Turned our I did pass, but with a perfect score. By hearing that, my whole day just felt soo much better and I was uncontrollably smiling and jumping around. At first, I couldn't believe it, but it happened and it makes me glad. :D I also got the Jonas Brothers' new album (Lines, Vines, and Trying Times) that day, which made it even better. ;)

Today was the last day of Freshman year. It was a good day for me, aside from the cleaning the classrooms. During the slide-show our teachers were showing us, it made me realize that it was an amazing year, even through all the obstacles I had to face. I've also changed a lot throughout the whole year. It surprises me on how much I've changed and now that I think about it, I don't think I'll ever be the same.

So, time for summer. :) Are you ready? I don't really have any plans (yet) for summer. Although I am going to be a summer bridge leader for my school and my friends and I are planning to have get-togethers. Well, that's pretty much all for right now. Happy Summer, everybody! :D

Life is CRAZY... (right now)

It's true. Everything around me is just going *whoosh* and I'm all stressed out. For example: Right now, I currently have around 5 piles of paper scattered everywhere. It all came from my school work pile from last semester, which holds a lot of work I need. There's tons of loudness going on around me. My mom's television show is just blasting in her room. On the occasional silence, I can hear my dad's TV down stars and to top it all off, I can hear my brother and his friend playing basketball outside. *thump thump* It's annoying and they're also talking, keeps on adding to the sound level. There's a lot more, all of these distracting me from my TIoL preparations. For those of you who don't know, TIoL means Transitional Interview of learning, which is pretty much our finals in my high school and it's just so stressful. Am I stressed right now? YES, of course I am. Even though it's the week after this week, it's just a lot to handle right now. To add on to the stress, I have a children's science fair in 2 days and we're not that prepared. Also, we have a play coming up in which I have to act in. I am a bit nervous and I think once I get up there, I'll get stage fright. I have been on stage tons of times before, but that was for music, not acting. GAH... so much going on. If you see me, I may look normal, but on the inside, I'm breaking down. :/ BUT on the bright side, summer is just two weeks away. Thank goodness. For me, summer is the time to relax and a time to be EXTREMELY bored. Isn't that nice? I think it's time for me to make a new summer list. One of the things on my summer list is to be a leader in my school's summer bridge program. :] Which reminds me, I still have to turn in that application. It would help me get rid of some of the boredom in summer and it sounds like a great experience. I remember last year when I was the students, now I could be one of the leaders. Cool... :] But before summer happens, I guess I'll have to survive these next two weeks. -__- This last week wasn't so bad though. Last weekend was when the Black and White semi-formal happened. I went with one of my friends and it was actually fun, even though one of us was missing. I got this huge surprise Tuesday night, which made me extremely happy. It was also spirit week. It was okay, even though I wasn't that spontaneous most of the time. Last night, I went cosmic bowling with my friends. It was FUN. Bowling, arcade, then absolutely failing at DDR. xD Well, that's all for now. I need to get back to prepping for TIoLs (if I can).

Updates on my life and.... other stuff :]

It's been a while since I posted a blog post like this. Just wanted to tell everyone how's everything going with me. First things first, do any of you watch American Idol? The finale was a couple days ago and..... I am VERY sad that Adam Lambert lost. :[ Kris Allen is good also, but when I found out he didn't win, I was like in shock for about 2 minutes. *sigh* Oh well.... Anyways, I've been busy. School projects are keeping me preoccupied for the past couple weeks. At home, I've been listening to a ton of new songs. A good amount of them are Adam Lambert's studio recordings, but you know, they are pretty good. I've also been playing Rhythm Heaven a lot... It's a uber fun game. :] I've also been Twitter-ing a lot. It can get addicting, which is not good... Well, yea considering on how much I tweet. :) Uh oh.. her comes the obsessive part of me coming out.. I CANNOT wait until the Jonas Brothers' new album (Lines, Vines, and Trying Times) comes out! Right now, I am listening to one of the songs that is gonna be on their album and it sounds amazing! Also, their music video for "Paranoid" premiers tomorrow. Very excited about that. I've also been watching their tv. It's really funny. My brother even thinks it's funny too, which is totally the "WHOA" factor on my scale. He usually doesn't say things like that when it comes to the Jonas Brothers. :I Jonas Brothers, Adam Lambert.... You might be wondering what else to I obsess about? Well, A LOT more.... :]

Yesterday was uber fun. School was the usual. After school, my friend, Philip, and I went to our school's baseball game. It was fun there, hanging out and watching the game. One highlight would be the bird that just stayed on the field the whole entire time. That was hilarious. Sometimes it would get in the way. It must have been clueless that there was a game going on around him. Unfortunately we had to leave early because of my brother's open house for his elementary school. When we left, our team was winning 11 to 4, I think. I'm not sure, but from what I heard when I got home, we won. Yayy.. During my brother's open house, we just hung out in the grass field. We also had this Charlie and the Unicorn marathon where we watched all three in my iPod. :) After that, we kind-of had a "grass fight." It's been a while since we had one, sooo...... we kind-of went crazy on that. The night ended when we ate dinner and went to GameStop. haha, I remember that huge panda randomly popping out in this one game commercial. The night ended when I went home and twitter-ed. :] Well, that's pretty much it. ttyl!

P.S. If you haven't yet, listen to "Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop" by Landon Pigg. I love this song sooo much. :)

QQC: 3rd book of Maximum Ride

Right now, I'm reading Maximum Ride: Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports. It's the 3rd book of the series and I think I blogged about the first 2 a little while back. Here's the quote I picked out for this week: "Oh,no. The Voice was not connected to the chip. It was still inside my head. Which made today's total: 1) Useless left hand 2) Fang believing some mushy emotion I didn't even mean 3) Voice still with us" So, some of the questions I have are: If the voice isn't coming from the chip, where is it coming from? What does the chip do? Was it a tracker for the Whitecoats to see where she is? I think it was pretty stupid for her to get that operation for a couple reasons. One of them is she doesn't know what the chip does and she wants it out. Another would be losing her left hand. She didn't really lose it. It's still there, but she can't move it which makes it completely useless and she still needs to "save the world." I can tell while reading the book that she kind-of regrets having that operation done on her, but she wanted it and everything went downhill for her right after. The book is getting really interesting though. Well, that's pretty much it.:)

QQC: Rhinoceros- Act 2

This weekend, I read all of Act 2 of Rhinoceros by Eugene Ionesco. The quote I picked from the act is:
"Berenger: Just think a moment. You must admit that we have a philosophy that animals don't share, and an irreplaceable set of values, which it's taken centuries of human civilization to build up.....
Jean: [in the bathroom] When we've demolished all that, we'll be better off!"
I have a about 2 questions for the quote. What philosophy do animals not have that we do? How big is our (as a humanity) set of values? If we could, how would we destroy our set of values? I also have one question about the whole play in general. Why is everyone turning into rhinoceroses? By reading this play, it kind of makes me wonder how they acted it out. With all the rhinoceroses and especially the props, since a lot of the scenes are really specific about the props. Also, the scene I just read Jean turns into the rhinoceros. In the scene, he turns green to the point where his skin is 'like leather' and the bump above his nose grows huge like a rhinoceros horn. The actor must have had a really hard time. My guess is that they did make-up while he was supposedly in the bathroom. I just figured that out 5 minutes ago. :) That's all for this week.

Reading Journal: Rhinoceros

One of the books I'm reading right now is Rhinoceros by Eugene Ionesco for my humanities class. So far, I've only read the first chapter and not so much has happened. There's a lot of logic and arguing going on though. Other than that, there's the Rhinoceros running through town. So, here's a quote from the play:
"Logician: For it is possible that since its first appearance, the rhinoceros may have lost one of its horns, and that the first and second transit were still made by a single beast.
Berenger: I see, but...
Old Gentlemen: [interrupting Berenger] Don't interrupt!
Logician: It may also be that the two rhinoceroses both with two horns may have each lost a horn.
Old Gentlemen: That is possible.
Proprietor: Yes, that's possible."
I suppose it would be possible for a rhinoceros to lose a horn, but how can it lose one in a short period of time? Are there even rhinoceroses that have two horns? What really caught my attention from reading this play was the explanation of syllogisms from the logician. A syllogism is like a type of argument that consists of a major and minor premise and a conclusion. Syllogisms are actually quite funny. One example from the book was: Cats have four paws. Isidore and Fricot both have four paws. Therefore, they are both cats. But then, one of the other character states that his dog has four paws. So, his dog is a cat? It can get kind of confusing, but sometimes it can be fun. :) That's it for now.

Bye-bye Spring Break... :(

Spring break was okay... I guess. The only down side of it was being bored and having nothing to do. That usually happened every day except for the weekend when I'm really busy. Last weekend was probably the highlight of my break. I was able to get together with my old friend from elementary/middle school. We just watched Twilight and talked. I missed hanging out with her. :) The next day, it was Easter. (Happy Belated Easter, btw. haha, I know it's one week late.) I hung out with my other friend, Angelica aka Lhyka. We got together and went to the mall. However, when we got there, that was the only time we noticed it was closed. >:I Then, we went somewhere to eat and went to Walmart. :D The weekdays were pretty boring. All I did was sleep in and use the computer. I also was able to sort-of finish my math packet. I'm just stuck on this one problem about inequalities. :\ School's coming though....D: That means I won't be bored anymore, BUT we're gonna have to go back to work on our new project or prepping for our CSTs. Oh well... At least we got to Six Flags the next day. :D yay!

Yay..

FINALLY!!!! Spring Break! 2 weeks of doing nothing, but relax.... except for that math packet preparation thingy. -_- Well, at least there's gonna be some good times. :D Festival del Sol was a couple days a go, and it went pretty well with what I've been hearing. During that time, I was like excited, but nervous. I had around 4 shifts during the festival, one where I get to go around and have a little free time. While walking to my exploratory, I was kind of freaking out a little because the festival was like starting, but the mood of the exhibit calmed me down (I guess). So, I ended up having a great time at the festival not including some problems we had with the roller coaster, but people liked it.... I think. The next day was really really really fun. We had a half day at school, but all we had to do was clean up, so it was just a kind of a lazy day. hehe. :D I had such a blast after school though. After walking to one of my friends house (and OMG, it was sooooooo far), we went to the mall where things got interesting... :D We played around this one toy store and went to Barnes and Noble a TON of times. OH! and we also..... let's just say..... prank called one of my friend's phone and ran around Macy's like crazy. heheheh. Right now, I'm listening to the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus CD Caitlin lent me and I love it! hehe. :) And also, my little bro just got a keyboard and I'll I hear is he and his friend playing with the sound effects. It's hilarious once you hear it. :D Well, that's all for now.....

"Ties are cool!" O_o

P.S. I have a twitter now! I got bored and most likely I'll be updating... ALOT. :D

Reading Journal

I'm not really sure if we needed to do a reading journal this week, but I guess I'll do one just in case. I've been running out of books to read xP, but right now I am reading The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. I usually read these kind of books, but I decided to give it a try. :) I actually just started it a couple days ago and I'm not really that far into the book. The quote I chose for this week is (spoken by Benvolio):
"Madam, an hour before the worshiped sun
Peered forth the golden window of the east,
A troubled mind (drove) me to walk abroad,
Where underneath the grove of a sycamore
That westward rooteth from this city side,
So early walking did I see your son.
Towards him I made, but he was 'ware of me
And stole into the covert of the wood."
So, this was a pretty long quote, but I have only one question for it: Why was Romeo trying to hide from Benvolio? And my comment is: When I read this, at first I was like "What in the world are they saying?" I had to read it like 3 times and use the text guide to understand what he was saying. heheh... Well, at least now I know what they're talking about. Just need a while to get used to it :D Well, that's it. I think I want to read more.... :P ttyl!

FRIDAY!!!

Hola! It is Friday and I am uber happy. :) One reason is because I finally get to rest after a hectic week and there are some others, but they are kind of boring. :P So, I am currently at the apple store right now with one of my friends. Just looking around before we watch the talent show tonight at our school. :) Well, just hanging out. The past week was filled with many things. From the physical testing to intergration day. Let's just say my group is being pretty good, but (as usual) I'm still freaking out about not getting it done. I'm also stressing out too, which only happens when there's a lot on my mind. I always have a lot on my mind, but now it's just like overloaded. I'm glad I just get a couple days to chillax before the exhibition. It'll be awesome........... I hope. My weekend is somewhat busy. I have prep for the first time in like forever and I need to go to a play my little brother is in. :P OMG, I just realized that we only have one week of school left. yay! Although, my friends are already on spring break for about...... 4 weeks? grRAWR. oh well.... When they're back to school and I'm out, I'll be the one that's laughing. hahaha..........

A Quite Confusing Reading Journal...

Right now, I'm reading a philosophy book called Pooh and the Philosophers. This book shows how you can find philosophical ideas in the Winnie The Pooh literature. It sounds kind of childish, but this book is like uber complex. So, the most recent part I've read was about the couple pages about Spinoza (a seventeenth century Dutch philosopher). The quote I got is: "Have we got here a somebody who is not an "I" itself? Looking at this question through Spinozan lenses- an appropriate metaphor as Spinoza made his living by grinding lenses- we remember at once Roger Scruton tells us that Spinoza does not see life from the point of an "I." " The questions I have for this quote is: Why doesn't Spinoza see life from the point of "I"? and What is the point of "I"? My comment is: Reading this book is kind of confusing for me. Why? Because it talks a lot about stuff I don't know about... yet. So, I researched a little about Spinoza and it kind of cleared a few things up for me. I learned that Spinoza believes that the whole universe is one reality. This goes against Descartes' belief that Mind and Body are two separate substances. He also believed that Nature decides what exists and what happens which leads to the cause and effect chain. By now, you must be thinking "What in the world are you talking about?" Well, this connects to the literature stated in the book. The literature shown in Spinoza's part was Rabbit's Plan to Capture Baby Roo. The literature illustrates the cause and effect chain. To see the piece of literature, it's right here. Well, that's pretty much it. ttfn!

QQC: Reading Journal

So, I am still reading Maximum Ride- School's Out-- Forever. I'm around halfway done and it's getting really good. :D The quote I found for this week is:

"I laughed, and he grinned back at me. A slight movement behind him caught my eye. Sam had his back to the big plate-glass window, and someone had walked past it. No-- someone was still there. My hand froze in mid-air, and my heart felt encased in ice. Ari was outside, giving me a predator's grin and a thumbs-up sign. Right in the middle of my freaking date."
My question for this quote is: Why did Ari show up in the first place? These next questions are for the whole book in general: Why is there a second Max? and Where did she come from? My comment is: When I read this part of the book, I automatically got mad at Ari because Max is starting to feel "normal" now. As in normal, I mean going to school, having an actual home, and starting to make new friends instead of running for your life all day and being alert 24/7, which is what Max went through. Also, he had to show up in the worst possible time, during a date. How would you feel if your arch nemesis just showed up while you were on a date? I also don't get why they have a second Max. She's been in the book for quite a while and she hasn't been doing anything. I'm guessing she's part of a plan the whitecoats are planning. hmmm...... probably. That's what I automatically thought when I heard there was a second Max. Well, that's pretty much it. ttyl!

The Advisory Olympics...

...were fun. :) Advisory Olympics: A time once a year where every advisory in school gets to crush each other. hehehe, that's my definition. :D The Olympics were after lunch and after a while, my advisory (Jenny's Mafia) headed to our first event, which was dodgeball. We got crushed. xP After that, all I have to say is "Ow." Our second event was the Project Funway (I think that's what it's called). It was pretty fun, but again, we got crushed. O_O I thought our "outfit" was better though. The third event was volleyball. We lost.... again. We weren't really off to a good start. :\ We played about 3 games in which one of them we won. yayy.... Our fourth event was the balloon popping game. :D It was fun. What we had to do was pop the other team's balloons while trying to protect ours. Btw, they were tied to our ankles. xD We won this one. xDD Half of us didn't really do anything though, but we still won. (yay!) The last event was pictionary. Last week, we actually practiced for this one. xD We won by 3 or 4 points. :) All in all, we won about 2 events (but lost 3 xP) and it was a good day. :)
P.S. We'll win next year. ;)

Yay, New Reading Journal!! :D

I just recently started a new book called Maximum Ride: School's Out-- Forever. It's the sequel of the book I read last month called Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment. So, I'm just in the beginning and already there's a lot of action going on and the bad guys are already chasing them. So, my quote for this reading journal is: " Once Max was dead that would all change. And he, Ari, would be the number-one son. He'd come back from the dead for it." Ok, so before I say something here's some questions: 1) Is Max really Ari's sister? 2) Why does he want to be Jeb's (his father's) #1 son? and 3) How in the world did he come back from the dead?? My comment is: Once I read this part of the book, I was like freaking out. I was all like "OH MY GOSH, NO WAY!!!" and my mom was looking at me like "whattt....?" lol :D Well, supposedly Ari is supposed to be dead because Max killed him while trying to get away from since he is one of the bad guys. But that is like wayy beyond creepy that he's still alive, especially since he like came back from the dead. That is like uber creepy. :\ Well, that's it for now. ttyl :)

:)

Yay... tomorrow is Friday! Finally, this whole school week has been crazy. D: Anyways,I'm just sitting here in my living room using my laptop, watching my little bro play his xbox (as usual), and listening to "Your Guardian Angel" by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. :) So, in my last post, I said I might post some vids of my friend and I freaking out because of the Jonas Brothers. Well..... Unfortunately, I was in a hurry to get to the theatre (because my cuzin was LATE) and I left my camera on our dining table and the batteries charging in one room. I only noticed that until we got in the car and drove off. -_- I would turn back and grab it, but we were already late for the 3:00 show, so we had to catch the 4:00 one in a different theatre. *sigh* Oh well, I still had fun. The movie was AWESOME. So, go and see it if you haven't. ;) In other news, I finally finished this project for my mah and physics class. yayy... It took me FOREVER to complete it. OMG, did you know that Amy Can Flyy is from the UK. For those of you who don't know, Amy Can Flyy is the band that sang the "Dinosaurs Go RAWR" song I posted a while back. :) Well, I gotta go. So, I'll leave you with one more song that's somewhat like the last song. It's called "I'm a Unicorn" by 1-800-Zombie. lol, enjoy! OH WAIT, just a little warning before you listen to this song: It can get annoying and stuck in your head. :P

Reading Journal...

For this reading journal, I decided to do something a little different. :) I couldn't really find a good quote from the book I'm reading. However, I did read a couple song lyrics during the past few days and of course, it's Jonas Brothers :) I've been mentioning them alot because of their new movie that came out 2 days. :P I'm actually going to watch it in a while. So, the part of the song I chose is: "Dreamers, you see everything in color/ While the world is getting darker/ Love is on its way" It's actually one of my favorite parts of the song. xD The questions I have for this quote are: Who are the dreamers? and How is the world getting darker? My comment is: I absolutely positvely LOVE this song. :D I think it's a super cute and super sweet song. I also can relate to it a little. I just don't know how.... heheheh. lol, that's pretty much it for now. I'll post a blog about the movie later and I'll probably take a few vids of my friend and I freaking out. hahaha......

I am bored... for now :)

Well, nothing much is going on right now, which is mainly why I am bored and posting this blog. I'm just sitting here in front of my computer listening to my iPod, which reminds me, I wanna make a new playlist. :) Anyways, today was uneventful. Just stayed at home, went for a walk, chatted on aim for a bit, and wrecked my journal even more. I was gonna go watch a movie today, but I guess my plans got moved to Sunday. -_- A lot of things happened in the past week. A lot of school work is one thing. With the new projects starting, I have a lot to do, but I'm happy that the weekend came. For two reasons: 1) a little break from school and 2) Jonas Brothers :). I get to see their new 3D concert tomorrow. yay! However, I have to pick if I go with my cousin or my mom and little brother. So, that's something I have to think about in the mean time. Also, I'm listening to the movie soundtrack right now. :D I love these live versions. The first time I heard it, I automatically had flashbacks of the last concert I went to. It also has a new song on it ("Love Is On Its Way") and I absolutely fell in love with it. :) Anyways, I think I'm gonna stop for now. I still need to read, so I can put up my reading journal. ttyl! :P

Dinosaurs go RAWR! xDD

lol, I have that song playing right now. I didn't even know there was a song about dinosaurs that go rawr. My friend and I found out about it yesterday when I just typed in "RAWR" in youtube. xDD haha... Anywayz, OMG it's almost March. I think in a week or so. Time flys by soo fast. So, this' will be like a mini-post since I'm like uber bored right now. ;) I've been listening to a lot of different music lately. Sometimes, I just put this song on repeat for the whole entire day that I already memorize most of the lyrics and I have the urge to put it on my iPod. :P School's been okay. There's like a ton of new projects though, so it's like driving me crazy. Well, not really. Just kind of like a little too much sometimes. My friends always make everything better though. We've been doing a lot of crazy stuff lately. :D Anyways, I'm gonna finish up this blog with the Dinosaurs Go Rawr song. xDD

QQC: Reading Journal

This weekend, I just finished Masquerade by Melissa de la Cruz. The quote I found for this reading journal is: "A mind is like a puzzle; you must unlock it it to read its hidden secrets." My question for this quote is: How can you unlock the mind though? In the book, the main character, Schuyler, learns how to read minds. She's a vampire though, so all she has to do is learn. Since it's possible for vampires to read minds, what about real human beings? hmmm... maybe. I haven't really met anyone that could read minds, but that would be really cool if they could. It could be really creepy though because everything you think, they know. So, they might find out all your secrets and hidden feelings. However, in the book, some Red Bloods(humans) can learn how to block their mind off from someone trying to read it. It kindof reminds me of the movie Push because there are people called pushers (I think) that could force this thought into your head and make you believe it. That's also one skill Blue Bloods can learn in the book. Well, that's pretty much it!

Reading Journal :)

I just started a new book recently called Maquerade by Melissa De La Cruz. It's the sequel to the book, Blue Bloods, which I read while back. The quote I have for this reading journal is: "But there was nothing behind her but the calm blue waters of the man-made lake. The boy was gone." My questions are not only for the quote, but the whole entire chapter I got it from. My questions are: Is Bliss (the character) the only one that have these dreams? Also, why does she keep on having these dreams? And last, but not least... How come they feel so life-like? My comment is: I don't think Bliss having these dreams all the time is just coincidence. I mean having dreams about someone or something following her has to mean something. And she's had them since the year before, which is pretty long in my book. Also, I would tell an adult blue blood about these dreams she's having because what if everyone doens't have these kinds of dreams? So, obviously there's something going on that she doesn't know about. Well, that's pretty much it. I'll post another blog post soon. :)

QQC: Reading Journal!!

Yay! A new reading Journal! So, I just started this book called Maximum Ride by James Patterson. My quote from the book is "It didn't take long, and it didn't hurt. Maybe he was a good whitecoat-- like Jeb. And maybe the moon was made out of cream cheese." My question for this quote is: Does she (Angel) not trust the whitecoat/ scientist? Cuz if she doesn't, why do they let the whitecoats experiment on her? Also(and this is for the whole entire book), why do the whitecoats only want to experiment on Angel when the rest of her "family" is just like her? My comment is: It's really starting to get confusing on why the whitecoats want to do tests on Angel when they were the ones who created her, I think. For those of you that don't know, Angel and the rest of her "family," all have wings and Angel has the power to read minds. In the beginning of the book, Max, the main character, says that the whitecoats do harsh experiments on them in the School, which is where Angel is at right now. So, I haven't really read that much of the book to know what's gonna happen, but I guess I'll update again next week. ttyl!

:D

Hey everyone,
It's been such a long time since I posted a blog that's non-schooly. So, I decided I would post one today to just talk and talk and talk. A lot's been going on in the last couple weeks. School has been going great and I'm still the same person, but the point of this blog was to describe my awesometistic night that I had yesterday. So yesterday, my BFF, Angelica, came over for a while, a very long while actually. We got pretty bored, so we went and surfed through some music video spoofs. Then, BOOM! Inspiration hit us. We decided to make our own spoof, but I guess we just ended up making a video of us performing. I ended up dressing up like Nick Jonas from the sunglasses all the way down to the blazer. :D Hehe, it was pretty fun I guess, especially since our brothers were there with us. We kinda just dragged them over to my room and forced them to do stuff.... but they had a good time too. :) Well, that's pretty much it. ttyl!

QQC: Reading Journal 17

Hi everyone!
Right now I'm reading a book called
The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen. A quote/passage from the book is: "It was like Cinderella in reverse: if I was a princess for my daylight hours, at night I let myself and my composure go, just until the stroke of midnight, when I turned back to princess, just in time." My question for this book is: If the main character, Macy, is considering herself a princess, why would she want to change that? However, Macy is free to do whatever she wants. So, it would seem like she's making herself a princess by not doing something fun and random. For me, this quote is that it is kind of confusing, and hard to follow, but it does have a meaning. Sometimes I do feel like a Cinderella in reverse when I'm at home when doing absolutely nothing. All in all this book is really good.. so far, and I learned something like how "..." is called an ellipsis. lol, I didn't even know a variation of periods were a called a specific name.

Reading Journal :)

Hi!
So, this is the first reading journal for our new semester, I think. I'm almost finished with the book I'm currently reading, and I decided to post the quote that's on the front of a new book I just got. The quote is "Certain people come into your life... and leave a mark." This qoute is from Sweethearts by Sara Zarr. One question I have for this quote is: Do those certain people stay in your life forever? I guess they can stay, but sooner or later you start "unknowing" each other. For me, unknowing means you know someone, but then you start to forget about each other completely. Another question is: How would you know when one person left a mark? I guess some marks can be life changing, but people can leave little marks too. Right? Anyways, I really like this quote because everyone can relate to it someway. For me, I can name a few people that left a mark in my life. They are mostly friends and family members. But, just like I said, there were times when we started unknowing each other, which is like one of the saddest thing in the world. It's sad because if I walk past an old friend in the hall, it would seem like nothing happened between us. That did happen a couple times in my middle school actually. Well, I g2g. ttyl!

What is Media?

So, this blog post is another humanities assignment, and during this assignment, we have to explain what I think the definition of media is. Today we watched a video during class that has the perspective of one person who only sees advertisements everywhere. I have to admit it was pretty cool, but it got me thinking about how much advertisements were out there. So without further adieu.... My definition for media is like anything that is presented to the world that affects people. For me, it's mostly television, pictures, music, advertisements and the internet. When I say "affects people," what I mean is you will do something about it eventually. Just looking/watching/listening to media basically affects you even if you don't know it. Other than that, media can also be art. For example, media can be paintings, sketches, poetry, sculptures, etc. Books, magazines, and newspapers can also count as a type of media. Everything you read affects you. That's what my mom said a couple weeks ago when I was starting this new book. Well, that's pretty much it! ttyl!

First Reading Journal in a Long Time..

Hey everyone,
So, I decided to do my reading journal a little early so I can keep reparing for our upcoming PoLs. I just started a new book, but I haven't really gotten that into it yet, so I'm gonna talk about a book I read during break. It's called As Simple as Snow by Gregory Galloway. This book is kind of confusing in the end, but also interesting. As Simple as Snow like a mystery book because all of a sudden a girl name Anna Cayne suddenly disappears. No one knows where she went and she never left anything behind. The only thing that the police found was a neatly folded dress next too a hole in the frozen river that cuts through town. The main character which is also the narrator is Anna's boyfriend, and supposedly he has all the answers to where she went. So, he tries to figure it out, but he can't. What's kind of weird about this book is you never know what's the narrators name. So, it's like a huge mystery to us. So, since the book got my interest, I went to the website, and registered it to send me a clue to where Anna Cyane went. A week later, I got this email. All it said was: Forever Breathes the Lonely Word. It was just that, and attached to it was a picture of half a guy's face with a pinkish-orangish background. That's it. I was like "OMG, that's it!" But I decided to do some research on it. I fond out that "Forever Breathes a Lonely Word" is the name of an alternative rock record released in 1986 by a British band named Felt. That's all I found though, which was kinda sad. I don't know if there's any more clues like this, but that clue led me to nothing.
:( So, I guess it'll still be a mystery to me where she went, but you never know, maybe something will pop up soon.
~Denise :)
